Electrical Engineer

Overview:

WTI is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our Beaver Dam, Wisconsin team. The position requires a high level of proactive and effective communication with internal teams and external MEP consultants to develop and coordinate accurate and easy to understand aquatic related electrical component schematics and drawings.

Primary Accountabilities and Responsibilities
  • Provide the technical knowledge needed to complete a well-designed and constructible set of electrical documents, including high and low voltage systems as required.
  • Use AutoCAD or Revit (preferred) to produce high-quality design and engineering deliverables (schematic design through construction documents).
  • Develop standard details, specifications, and drawings to be used in all WTI projects.
  • Research and apply national and local electrical code requirements.
  • Collaborate with architects and other consultants to ensure a well-coordinated electrical document package.
  • Provide electrical problem-solving expertise during construction and start-up phases
  • Respond to electrical equipment related submittals and RFIs in a timely manner.
  • Conduct on-site construction visits and generate field reports for electrical scope.
  • Become the in-house expert for electrical systems related to typical WTI pool equipment.
  • Adhere to WTI standards and best practices in the creation of deliverables.
  • Assumes responsibility for other duties assigned or needed.
Required Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:
  • Degree in Electrical engineering, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
  • Licensed professional engineer is preferred.
  • Occasional travel to Client, including overnight as necessary, for project coordination.
  • Understanding of aquatic design terminology, data and operational requirements is preferred, including aquatic industry trends, suppliers and equipment.
  • Experience in waterpark or theme park industries is preferred.
  • Proficient in the use of various software programs: MS Office, Bluebeam Revu, and familiarity with Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Works independently on projects, exercising good judgment, decision-making, and when and where to engage others to successfully complete a project.
  • Manages multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Above average verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent detail orientation and time management skills.
