Fort Rapids Waterpark at Holiday Inn East Hotel

Project Type:
Resort and Hospitality
Location:
Columbus, Ohio

Fort Rapids Waterpark Columbus opened in May 2006 as Ohio’s first indoor waterpark resort. This upscale resort located on the city’s east side takes guests back in time to experience a piece of America’s Old West through authentic furnishings and artwork found around every corner.

In keeping with the wild west theme, the Fort Rapids Indoor Waterpark, the main attraction at the resort, is also detailed with wall murals, scenic waterfalls and life-size statue scenes. The waterpark is 60,000 square feet of wet, wild, western fun, and features the indoor waterpark trademark, a 1,000-gallon dumping bucket at the top of a four-story interactive play structure, more than 3,000 feet of water slides, a lazy river, activity pool, toddler’s pool area and a 30-person whirlpool.
